I just wanted to inform you of our Annual Easter Egg Hunt! It will be taking place on March 8, 2006 from 1-3 p.m. on Kaufman Mall. Meet at the house at 9:30 pm

March 17th- Big/Lil Night
Meet at the house at 8 pm

March 25th- Pre-Initiation
Meet at the house at 7 pm
All black quill attire

March 26th- Initiation
Meet at the house 11 am

WEDNESDAY the 25th!
Time:7pm
Place: Lovely AXiD house
what: A night in OC with Laguna Beach and Mocktails

Thursday the 26th!
Time: 7pm, meet at 630 pm at the house
Place: House--> then Convecation Center
What: Show your monarch pride as we root on the boys basketball team
as they
play Drexel
**** Let me know ASAP if you would like to come to this event so we
can pick up a ticket for you <3

Friday the 27th!
Time: Meet at the house NO LATER than 530.
Place: 6-7pm AMF Military Lanes
What: Bowling with the best! We have several lanes reserved to have
a bowling
good time ;-)

Saturday the 28th!
Time: set-up at 430
Place: Hopefully sisters in the UV
What: Progressive dinner!
**We will be meeting at the AXid House, and then going over to the
UIniversity Village and travel to a few different apts. to enjoy
many different types of dishes!

Sunday the 29th!
Time:7pm. There will be a SHORT Paper-meeting
following the event.
Place: AXiD House!!!
What: Preference!!!!! We will have a sit down and formal preference
ceremony as
we did for fall formal recruitment.

*** All events we will be meeting about 30 min. beforehand.

I hope that everyone is doing great! The semester is offically over, and we have three sisters who are graduating next week!

Pre-Initiation and Initiation was held on the 12th and 13th of November, and we welcomed 17 wonderful ladies into Alpha Xi Delta!

We would like to thank all of the alumnae that came out to both events. We all were able to witness the growth of our chapter, and remember when we were initiated! It's a wonderful feeling!

I just wanted to apologize for not updating the site recently. School has been taking up a lot of time!

I just wanted to let you all know the dates and times for Big/Lil Sis, Pre-Initiation, and Initiation! Here they are!

Thursday
November 10th, 2005
Big/Lil Sis

Starts at 9pm at the Alpha Xi Delta house on the corner of 49th and Powhatan Avenue.

Dress attire is all black.

Pre-Initiation
November 12, 2005
Starts at 6:30 pm. Dress attire is all black, no pants.

Initiation
November 13, 2005
Starts at 10 am. Attire is all white.

I am sure that everyone knows by now that the requests have to go through exec b/c we found it in our bylaws, and Jessica cleared them up for me. :)

I can't wait for this coming week! It's going to be SOOOOO exiciting! I hope to see a lot of alumnae out! It was so exciting when I went through last semester and I go to see how many alumnae came! :) Hope to see you there! :)

Change in Pre-Initiation and Initiation Dates!

Just to let everyone know, we had to schedule pre-initiation and initiation for the 12th and 13th of November. If we had it the week following, then the new members from Formal Recruitment would have a 9 week new member period, and we didn't want that.

Let me know if you want to attend these events! I'm not sure about the exact times, but pre-init is during the night and initiation is early the next morning.

Also, Big Xi Night is coming up soon! It is on the 13th of October. New members have to arrive at 9:30, but sisters will be there earlier to get things ready!

Formal Recruitment!

Our Recruitment Advisors

Formal Recruitment was a huge success! Thanks to the guidance and help of our very own Jessica Waibel and Fatima, we had 14 girls accept our bids! That is amazing! COR events start up this week, so expect that number of 14 to grow even larger!

Amber Carr (my Big Xi! :)) and Mel Reekes, alumnae who helped out at most events of the weekend, and Chrissy Mason, Lauren Labonte,Crystal Hamilton, Ashley Angel, Lauren Silverio and Jennifer Anderson, who came out and supported us at various times during the weekend! All of you ladies are WONDERFUL!

I'm so sorry that it has taken me so long to get to learn how this site works. I just wanted to introduce myself to you all. My name is Lynne Marie Contreras, I'm in the Spring 05' pledge class, and I'm your new Alumnae Relations chair! There are a lot of things that have been going on in our sorority that are coming up in future updates!
